This photo was taken in three months ago. They are my secondary school students. Although we only have meeting once to twice a year, we talk about our previous memory, our current life and still keep in a good friendship. We gather together happily and comfortable every time.

This photo was taken in Lunar New Year. I was very happy to see all my relatives and cousins in this day. It is because some of them live in Hong Kong, we do not have so much time to gather together. Therefore, it can be seen that my grandma and all my cousins were very happy, play together and got red pockets.

University of Macau Students' vision of Happiness: Wong Wai Man WISHING TREE

This is a wishing tree. Lots of people make their wishes here. They write down their wishes on the wishingplacards and throw to the wishing tree. This is a traditional Chinese culture. I come and make wishes here every Lunar New Year. I feel happiness when I take part in this ritual, and I think everyone surrounding me also feel happiness here at that moment.

This is another photo I toke during Lunar New Year. This stamp was given by my niece. I felt happy and warm, when I got it. This two Chinese characters “加油” mean good luck, try your best, keep it up, etc. Actually, my niece just 3 years old and does not understand these characters. She just imitated her teacher to give the stamp for reward. But it seems to give me power to fight for my future.

University of Macau Students' vision of Happiness: Evie Ieong BIRTH OF BABIES

The birth of baby symbolizes hope and future. We love, foster and sustain new born baby. At the same time, this small body will bring happiness to us, give us surprises and enable us power to struggle for our lives and families.

These were the hands of father, mother and the new born baby. Holding these three hands symbolize integration of three powers. Also, it implies the promise and reasonability of sharing joy, sorrow and accomplishment in the future.
